Freeware
of the
Day:
SmallScreenX -
See how your web pages look in different screen sizes.
A Cocoa port of the old "Small Screen" for the pre-X Mac OS (Inspired
by Small Screen, written by Daniel Schaerer many years ago). The old
version simply drew borders on your screen representing smaller
resolutions -- useful for web design to simulate how different viewers
may see a page without the hassle of switching your own resolution.
This version (by a different author) allows you to have multiple,
moveable, resizeable screens open at a time along with other nifty
features.
New in
v.2.2
- Dimmer mode: dim the area
outside of SmallScreens.
- Restricted resizing: holding
shift now constricts resizing (horizontal/ vertical/ aspect-ratio)
- Menubar simulation: simulate
the menubar within a SmallScreen
- Border is now drawn outside
of the "actual" border, enabling more accurate previewing
- Tooltips
- Opens System Preferences
when Accessibility is not enabled
