Shareware
of the
Day:
Pacifist
- Extract
OS X software installer packages.
Pacifist 2.0.1 is a shareware application that opens Mac OS X .pkg
package files, .dmg disk images, and .tar, .tgz, and .tar.gz file
archives and allows you to extract individual files and folders out of
them. This is useful, for instance, if an application which is
installed by the operating system becomes damaged and needs to be
reinstalled without the hassle of reinstalling all of Mac OS X.
Pacifist is also able to verify existing installations and find missing
or altered files*, and Pacifist can also examine the kernel extensions
installed in your system to let you see what installer installed them,
and whether the installer was made by Apple or a third-party.
Pacifist is compatible with Mac OS X 10.2 or higher, including Mac OS X
10.4 (Tiger). It is also compiled as a Universal Binary for maximum
performance on both PowerPC and Intel-based Macs.

Address Book contacts you will be asked to determine a password that
people will need to get access to your Address Book.
Features:
- Sync your Address Book with
other
Address Books.
- Only Address Book entries,
that are new
or differ from your Address Book will be synced.
- If contacts have differrent
entries
(e.g. phone number), you can choose, which entry you want to keep or
update your old entry.
- Share your entire Address
Book for
syncing.
- Share only chosen groups of
your Address
Book for syncing. (others are not accessible)
